Sparrowcore Capital Management was founded to bridge the gap between traditional financial education and real-world investing. We operate as a disciplined research organization first — building the fundamental research, portfolio construction, and risk management practices of an institutional asset manager, and applying them to real, donor-contributed capital across a broad equity mandate.
Increasingly, that research process is technology-driven. Sparrowcore integrates AI, alternative data, and machine learning into how we approach asset pricing and signal generation — using these tools to process information at a scale traditional analysis alone can't reach, while keeping analyst judgment at the center of every decision. Every analyst is trained in these methods as part of onboarding, so working with data and models is a baseline skill across the team, not a specialty held by a few.

Vihaan Basu
Founder & Chief Executive Officer
Vihaan Basu is reportedly the world's youngest investment banking intern, starting his finance journey at age 14 and his investing journey at age 9. He founded Sparrowcore Capital Management to give students the kind of hands-on investing experience that classroom finance courses can't offer, and is also the founder and CEO of BizFin Academy. That combination of early industry exposure and a drive to teach shaped Sparrowcore's approach: treat student research with the same seriousness as a professional investment process.
